Google has released the first developer preview of Android 15. This preview gives a glimpse that in the coming times, the experience of Android smartphone users will completely change. Google is going to add many new features to this operating system. An early look at some significant changes and improvements for the next major release is provided in this preview.
Camera tools will be better
Camera tools will be improved in the upcoming Android 15. Developer Preview indicates that Google has worked to improve the photography experience for users. Enhanced in-app camera controls are a major addition that gives developers more detailed power over brightness, flash intensity, and other imaging features that were previously limited to default camera apps.
Security will be strong
The security of Android 15 users will be a top priority for the company. Compared to Android 14, it will be much improved in terms of security and privacy. It will have a feature called Privacy Sandbox. Apart from this, some other things will be introduced in the update that will be completely new to users.
When will it be released?
Google has not provided any information about the release of the update. The final update is expected to be launched in August. In February, the company introduced developers preview.
After this, the second developers preview will be introduced and then it will be rolled out for Beta 1. Afterwards, more beta versions will be released. After this, it will finally be made available to stable users.
However, Android 15 isn’t exclusively focused on privacy and performance enhancements. It also introduces support for the partial screen recording feature, a highlight from one of Android 14’s beta releases, allowing users to record specific app content rather than the entire screen. Furthermore, there are plans to improve the camera experience in third-party apps, in line with Samsung’s recent efforts. Low-light image previews will be processed further to enhance brightness, mirroring the final image output after capture. Additionally, app developers will have access to flash controls to fine-tune intensity settings, which will improve the user experience.
