There’s nothing to think that your android phones are not secured and iOS are. Manufacturing companies who make Android smartphones, have to get lots of license before releasing an Android phone. First of all 6 years is long time to use a single mobile but as Apple is dam expensive some people buy it and use it for all long time and in that 6 years technologies changes drastically apps and iOS becomes heavier and heavier It lags your mobile a lot you can see iPhone 5s 6 6s SE with iOS 11 they just sucks a lot.
And now iOS 12 going to launch and many people’s using beta version of it in there phone and saying this is very smooth and all reality behind that is reducing in animations.
In previous generation iPhone’s apple increases the animation timing via New updates so that they can hide lags from you.
So, no need of 6 years updates as mobile get slow down someday with wear and tear & overloading with new update lags your phone 3 – 4 years is okay with updates.
