New Delhi: Maldives has gone bankrupt. Another neighboring country of India has gone bankrupt due to China’s expensive debt. Maldives has sought bailout by sharing this information with the IMF. After dealing with India, the Maldives’ already struggling economy suffered a further blow, and it has now reached the point of bankruptcy. In such a situation, Maldives has requested a loan from the IMF to improve the situation.

By May 10, Indian soldiers will leave Maldives and be replaced by qualified technical staff from India.

Not only this, during Indian PM Narendra Modi’s visit to Lakshadweep and promotion of Lakshadweep, three ministers of Maldives had given controversial comments about PM Modi and Indians. Although the three ministers were later expelled, Mohamed Muizzu did not oppose their comments on the matter. Maldives messed around with India, but now they’re in a bad situation.

After bankruptcy, Maldives has now sought a bailout loan from the IMF. After a miscalculation with India, the already struggling economy of Maldives has received another blow and has now reached the brink of bankruptcy. In such a situation, Maldives has asked for a loan from the IMF to improve the situation.

Big celebs and many people started canceling their trips to Maldives. Many travel companies in India have also started canceling bookings, ranging from flights to hotels in Maldives. This dealt a big blow to Maldives tourism. Last year, Indians were at the top position among travelers going to Maldives, but now they have come down to fifth place in this matter. The number of tourists visiting Maldives from India has significantly decreased in January and will continue to decline.
