Rangbhari Ekadashi 2024 Date: This year Rangbhari Ekadashi will be celebrated on 20 March. It is also called Amalaki Ekadashi. Falgun Shukla Ekadashi is called Rangbhari Ekadashi in Kashi. On this day Baba Vishwanath is specially adorned and the festival of Holi begins in Kashi. It is believed in mythology that Lord Shiva visited Kashi city for the first time after his marriage with Parvati on Rangbhari or Amalaki Ekadashi. On this day, devotees of Lord Shiva throw colours, abir and gulal on him. From this day itself, the process of playing with colors starts in Varanasi, which continues for the next six days.
Holi festival in Braj starts from Holashtak. So in Varanasi, Holi starts with Rangbhari Ekadashi. On this day, all the wishes related to money can be fulfilled by offering special colors to Lord Shiva.

The Hindu calendar specifies that Rangbhari Ekadashi tithi will commence at 12:21 am on March 20 and conclude at 02:22 am on March 21. In such a situation, Rangbhari Ekadashi fast will be observed on 20th March. The best time to worship on Rangbhari Ekadashi is from 6.25 am to 9.27 am on March 20.
Remedy for money problems on Rangbhari Ekadashi
On this day, take a resolution to worship after taking bath early in the morning. Fill a vessel with water from home and go to Shiva temple. Also take Abir Gulal, Chandan and Belpatra along with you. First apply sandalwood on Shiva Linga, then offer Bel leaves and water. At the end, offer Abeer and Gulal. Then pray for the end of financial problems.
Worship of Amla tree on Rangbhari Ekadashi
Amla tree is worshiped on this Ekadashi. Also, Amla is used in a special way. This brings good health and good fortune. That is why this Ekadashi is also called “Amalaki Ekadashi”. Pour water into the Amla tree in the morning on Rangbhari Ekadashi. Offer flowers, incense and offerings to the tree. Also light a lamp near the tree. Circumambulate the tree twenty-seven or nine times. Pray for good fortune and health. It would be even better if you plant a gooseberry tree.
