A moderate earthquake with a magnitude of 3.6 on the Richter Scale struck Madhya Pradesh at 8.02 pm, according to news agency ANI on Wednesday.
An earthquake of magnitude 3.6 on the Richter Scale hit Seoni, Madhya Pradesh at 8:02 pm today, according to the National Center for Seismology.
The earthquake, which originated at a shallow depth of 5 km, was felt throughout the area.
Based on seismic data, the epicenter of the earthquake was located at coordinates 22.10 latitude and 73.53 longitude.
The Andaman Islands were jolted by an earthquake of magnitude 4.2 earlier on Tuesday.
The National Center for Seismology data shows that the tremors were experienced at approximately 11.32 pm on Tuesday. The epicentre of the quake was found to be at latitude 10.06 and longitude 95.00, at a depth of 67 km.

The National Center for Seismology (NCS) serves as the central authority under the Government of India responsible for overseeing and tracking earthquake occurrences throughout the nation.

Instructions to stay alert
At 8.02 pm on March 13, a 3.6 Richter scale earthquake was recorded in the district. The district administration is in touch with senior scientists from Indian Meteorology. There is no possibility of loss of life or property due to the recorded low intensity earthquake.
The district administration has urged the citizens to be patient and take necessary precautions. All officers and employees, including police officers, home guards, SDRF, and health workers, have been directed to remain on alert while ensuring necessary arrangements.
